Community Learning Center
We at Bookbrokers believe it's important to give back to the community - as a teacher of 33 years, DOC has always emphasized that in the classroom, with the adage: "Whenever you say that somebody should do something, remember, you are somebody!" - Over those years, he and his classes have raised awareness for homelessness, hunger, animal abuse, teen issues, and most obviously, literacy - his classes have worked with the UN, Unicef, V Foundation, Livestrong, Letters to Troops, Meals on Wheels, Pete's Place, Women's Resource Center, Salvation Army, Cherryland Humane Society, Father Fred, Goodwill, United Way, and RoomToRead - as a business owner, he has taken that to another level, assisting those in career and business startup advice, supplying books to those in need, and listening/helping those in need - he's added a few more groups, such as Spark in the Dark, Norte, Disability Network, Higher Grounds, Clean Up, Green Up, Power Book Bag, and many others.... so if you need assistance with your classes, with finding that job, or just to have someone listen and believe in you, stop on by.....
DOC'S FLOCK - the non-profit arm of Bookbrokers, devoted to giving back, always giving back.....
Introducing DOC'S FLOCK, a program to create an awareness, to provide a support network, and give back to the community - through this program, we are working with the groups mentioned, and have implemented a program for the community, similar to what Room to Read did at an international level - basically, we will provide a book to every child who needs one - we believe strongly in the power of literacy, creating an awareness to achieve success in their lives - so if you know of a child in need, or you wish to donate books, please let us know.....thank you!
